The Senior Novice Showjumping & Junior Novice Showjumping at The Hand Equestrian Centre was extremely successful.

The facilities were superb, the organisation excellent and there was a great atmosphere among the competitors. Nick Davies, the owner was away in Spain with his daughter show jumping and before I left I saw his sister Jo who runs the centre. When she arrived she was concerned to see so many people and horses and was worried that the horsebox park would be a muddle but not so and was very complimentary about the behaviour of everyone. This was the most successful Indoor show jumping qualifier and the riding of Juniors and Seniors was the best I have seen for a long time. I congratulate and thank Hilary and Laura and the Brent Knoll and Backdown Mendip Clubs for making all the arrangements.

Having the Juniors and Seniors on the same day worked well and we finished at 7pm having put all the jumps away. The Saturday date was popular and for Juniors it was better than a Sunday as they did not have a long day before school.
